[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국민의힘 부산 지역 국회의원들이 전재수 더불어민주당 의원의 금품 수수 의혹에 대해 무혐의 처분을 내린 합동수사본부를 향해 권력 앞에 무너진 꼬리 자르기식 수사라며 강도 높은 비판을 쏟아냈다.
부산 국회의원 일동은 10일 국회에서 기자회견을 열고 "이번 수사 결과는 이재명 정부에서 대한민국의 형사사법 시스템이 권력 앞에 어떻게 무너질 수 있는지를 적나라하게 보여주었다"고 성토했다.
의원들은 "이번 수사는 정해진 시나리오 수사이자 국가 수사기관이 권력의 하수인으로 전락했음을 보여준다"고 직격했다. 이어 "명품 시계 수수 영수증과 수리 기록, 관련 진술까지 확보된 중대 비리 사건임에도 불구하고, 전 의원이 민주당 부산시장 후보로 공천을 받자마자 공소권 없음과 혐의 없음 처분을 내린 것은 명백한 면죄부 발행"이라고 날을 세웠다.
#조직적 증거인멸은 비리의 몸통 자백, 비정한 꼬리 자르기 중단 촉구
특히 수사 과정에서 드러난 조직적인 증거인멸 정황에 대해 분노를 표출했다. 의원들은 "압수수색이 지연되는 동안 의원실 안에서는 파쇄기 소리가 들렸고, 지역구 사무실 컴퓨터는 초기화됐으며, 보좌진은 하드디스크를 밭에 내다 버렸다"라며 "보좌진들이 윗선의 지시 없이 스스로 이런 중범죄를 감행했다는 것은 상식적으로 납득할 수 없다"고 일갈했다.
이어 "이는 금품수수 의혹에 한 점 부끄럼 없이 떳떳하다면 결코 일어날 수 없는 행위이며 비리의 몸통이 보좌진이 아님을 스스로 자백하는 것과 같다"고 목소리를 높였다.
또한 의원들은 "권력 수사에서 반복되는 비정한 꼬리 자르기를 멈추라"고 촉구하고, "증거를 인멸한 보좌진은 법의 심판대에 섰지만, 정작 사태의 중심인 전 의원은 아무 일 없다는 듯 정치 행보를 이어가고 있다.수족 같은 식구들을 희생양으로 삼는 도덕성으로 어떻게 부산시민을 대표할 수 있겠느냐"라고 비난했다.
#부적격 후보자 검증 TF 구성, 오만한 사법 유린 반드시 심판
국민의힘 부산 의원들은 "이재명 정부 들어 사법 개혁은 결국 그들만을 위한 방패일 뿐이라는 것이 속속 드러나고 있다"며 "권력으로 범죄를 덮는 행태가 반복되지 않도록 끝까지 진실 규명을 위해 싸우겠다"고 천명했다
한편 국민의힘은 이날 긴급 최고위원회를 소집하고 부적격 후보자 검증 TF를 전격 구성했다. 국민의힘은 전재수 의원을 포함해 각종 의혹이 제기된 지방선거 출마자들을 철저히 검증해 국민에게 공표할 방침이며 부산 시민과 함께 이번 사법 유린 사태를 반드시 심판하겠다고 덧붙였다.

Busan area lawmakers from the People Power Party have launched a scathing critique of the Joint Investigation Team’s decision to clear Representative Jeon Jae soo of bribery allegations. Labeling the move a tail cutting investigation that crumbled in the face of political pressure the lawmakers held a press conference at the National Assembly on April 10 2026. They asserted that this outcome starkly demonstrates how the Lee Jae myung administration has compromised the integrity of South Korea’s criminal justice system.
The lawmakers opened their statement by condemning the probe as a pre scripted investigation and a sign that national investigative bodies have been reduced to mere henchmen of power. Despite substantial evidence including receipts for luxury watches repair records and corroborating testimonies the investigation was closed with no right to prosecute and non suspicion rulings immediately after Representative Jeon was nominated as the Democratic Party candidate for Busan Mayor. The People Power Party lawmakers slammed this as a blatant granting of immunity.

The lawmakers expressed particular outrage over the systematic destruction of evidence revealed during the investigation. They noted that while search and seizure warrants were delayed the sound of paper shredders echoed from the office and computers in the district office were wiped clean. Some aides even discarded hard drives in a field. The lawmakers argued that it defies common sense to suggest that aides would commit such serious crimes without orders from above. They stated that if the representative were truly innocent such actions would never have occurred and that the cover up itself proves the representative is the core of the corruption.
Furthermore they urged an end to the heartless tail cutting often seen in high stakes political probes. While the aides who destroyed evidence now face legal judgment Representative Jeon continues his political career as if nothing happened. The lawmakers questioned how someone who sacrifices his own staff as scapegoats can represent the citizens of Busan.
Task Force Formed to Vet Unfit Candidates Vowing to Judge Arrogant Judicial Desecration
In closing the People Power Party lawmakers emphasized that under the current administration judicial reform has proven to be nothing more than a shield for those in power. They vowed to continue fighting for the truth to ensure that crimes can no longer be covered up by political influence.
In response to the situation the People Power Party convened an emergency Supreme Council meeting and launched a Task Force for Vetting Unfit Candidates. The party plans to thoroughly investigate and publicly disclose findings regarding local election candidates facing various allegations. They concluded by promising to work alongside the citizens of Busan to hold the administration accountable for this desecration of the judicial system.
