【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=수성구는 13일 서울대학교 건축학과 교수와 학생 등 70여 명으로 구성된 탐방단이 들안예술마을을 찾아 도시재생 현장을 둘러보고 학술 교류를 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이번 탐방은 ‘2026 수성국제비엔날레’ 준비 과정의 일환으로 마련됐다.
이날 탐방단은 저층 주거지 기반의 재생 전략, 공공공간 확충, 주민 참여형 문화 프로그램 운영 사례를 직접 확인했다.
또 마을 주요 거점과 공간을 돌아보며 사업 추진 과정에 대한 설명을 듣고, 지속가능한 도시재생 모델과 지역 맞춤 설계 방안에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
특히 이번 일정은 2026 수성국제비엔날레 건축감독에 참여하는 서울대학교 존 홍 교수 주도로 진행됐다.
이번 탐방은 국내외 대학이 참여하는 ‘예술감독 국제 스튜디오’ 프로젝트와도 연계된다. 관련 연구 성과는 오는 10월 비엔날레 본 행사에서 공개될 예정이다.
수성구 관계자는 “들안예술마을이 건축학계의 주목을 받는 것은 의미 있는 일”이라며 “앞으로도 대학과 전문가들과 협력해 지역 공간의 가치를 높여나가겠다”고 말했다.

Suseong-gu announced on the 13th that a delegation of approximately 70 people, including professors and students from the Department of Architecture at Seoul National University, visited Deuran Art Village to tour the urban regeneration site and engage in academic exchange.
This visit was organized as part of the preparation process for the ‘2026 Suseong International Biennale.’
On this day, the delegation personally observed regeneration strategies based on low-rise residential areas, the expansion of public spaces, and examples of resident-participatory cultural program operations.

Notably, this itinerary was led by Professor John Hong of Seoul National University, who is serving as the Architectural Director for the 2026 Suseong International Biennale.
This visit is also linked to the ‘Artistic Director International Studio’ project, which involves domestic and international universities. The related research findings are scheduled to be unveiled at the main Biennale event this coming October.
A Suseong-gu official stated, “It is significant that Deuran Art Village is attracting attention from the architectural community,” adding, “We will continue to cooperate with universities and experts to enhance the value of local spaces.”
