【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=김승수 국민의힘 의원(대구 북구을)이 택시 연료로 사용하는 LPG 부탄에 대한 개별소비세와 교육세 감면 일몰기한을 연장하는 내용의 조세특례제한법 개정안을 대표 발의했다.
현행 제도에 따르면 택시용 LPG는 킬로그램당 40원의 세제 감면 혜택을 받고 있다. 이 제도는 올해 12월 31일 일몰을 앞두고 있다.
최근 2~3년간 LPG 가격이 급등하고 변동성이 커지면서 택시업계의 부담이 눈에 띄게 증가한 것으로 파악된다.
이에 김 의원은 "원유 가격의 잦은 변동과 에너지 수급 불안정 속에서 택시 기사들의 경영 부담을 덜고, 업계의 구조적 안정을 도모하기 위해 세제 감면 연장이 필요하다"고 밝혔다.
국회예산정책처는 "택시 연료용 LPG 부탄 세제 감면이 연간 약 400억 원 규모의 혜택을 산업에 제공하고 있다"고 설명했다.
아울러 감면 연장에 따른 비용·편익 분석과 중장기 재원 대책, 조세지출 조정 등을 함께 검토하겠다는 입장이다.
김승수 의원은 "택시 종사자들의 경영 부담을 줄이고 택시 산업이 안정적으로 운영될 수 있도록 해당 특례조항의 연장이 필수적이다. 앞으로도 민생경제를 지키기 위한 입법활동에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
