달성군은 어린이집의 운영 부담을 덜기 위해 반당 운영비를 군비로 지원한다.
국공립·법인 어린이집은 58만4천 원, 민간·가정·직장 어린이집은 32만9천 원, 장애아반은 63만4천 원을 지원하며, 어린이집당 최대 2개 반까지 신청할 수 있다. 이를 통해 현장의 재정 부담 없이 교사 대 아동 비율 개선이 가능하도록 했다.
이번 정책은 보육 현장의 과중한 업무와 안전사고 우려를 줄이고, 맞춤형 돌봄을 강화하는 데 목적이 있다. 교사 1명이 돌보는 아동 수를 줄임으로써 개별 돌봄의 질을 높이고, 교사 이탈을 방지하는 효과도 기대된다.
최재훈 달성군수는 “아이들의 안전과 행복은 무엇과도 바꿀 수 없는 최우선 가치”라며 “부모가 안심하고 아이를 맡길 수 있는 보육 환경을 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
