이번 예타에서 해당 사업은 경제성(B/C) 1.57, 종합평가(AHP) 0.551을 기록하며 사업 타당성과 실현 가능성을 동시에 인정받았다. 특히 지방권 대형 산업단지 조성사업이 예타를 통과하는 사례가 드문 만큼 정책적 상징성과 지역발전 효과 측면에서 의미가 크다는 평가다.
안동시는 2023년 국가산업단지 후보지 선정 이후 입지 타당성, 산업 연계성, 기업 수요 확보 등 사전 준비를 체계적으로 진행해 왔으며, 다수 기업과 투자양해각서(MOU) 및 입주의향서를 확보해 사업 실현 가능성을 높여왔다.
이번 사업은 풍산읍 노리 일원 약 100만㎡ 부지에 산업·지원·공공시설을 집적하는 대규모 국책사업으로, 연구개발(R&D)부터 생산, 물류까지 연계된 ‘원스톱(One-Stop)’ 바이오 산업 거점으로 조성된다. 사업기간은 2027년부터 2033년까지이며, 총사업비는 3,465억 원이다.
사업은 한국토지주택공사와 경북개발공사가 공동 시행을 맡아 공공 주도의 안정적 추진 체계를 갖춘다.
