우체국 행복나눔 봉사대상은 지역사회 공헌 활동에 앞장선 우수 봉사단을 선정하는 시상으로, 참여도와 활동 지속성, 파급효과 등을 종합적으로 평가해 수상기관을 결정한다.
경북지방우정청은 취약계층을 위한 이불 세탁 지원을 비롯해 장애인, 자립청년, 아동을 대상으로 한 식료품 및 학습꾸러미 전달, 연말 ‘산타원정대’ 활동 등 생활 밀착형 지원을 꾸준히 펼쳐왔다.
또한 산불 피해지역 복구와 이재민 생활 안정 지원에 참여하고, 마을정원 가꾸기와 플라스틱 수거 활동 등 친환경 활동을 병행하는 한편, 국가유공자 지원과 묘역 정화 활동을 통해 공공기관으로서의 사회적 책임을 실천해 왔다.
박태희 청장은 “이번 수상은 직원들의 자발적인 참여와 지역사회의 협력이 만들어낸 뜻깊은 성과”라며 “앞으로도 수혜자 중심의 맞춤형 지원을 강화하고 우체국만의 특색 있는 사회공헌 모델을 지속적으로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Gyeongbuk Regional Post Office has consistently provided support tailored to daily life, including laundry services for bedding for the vulnerable, the delivery of food and learning kits to the disabled, independent youth, and children, and year-end ‘Santa Expedition’ activities.
Furthermore, the office has fulfilled its social responsibility as a public institution by participating in the recovery of wildfire-damaged areas and supporting the livelihood stability of displaced residents, while simultaneously engaging in eco-friendly activities such as tending village gardens and collecting plastics, as well as supporting national merit recipients and cleaning up cemeteries.
