안동의료원, 봉화 석포서 ‘찾아가는 행복병원’ 무료 합동진료 실시

【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=경상북도안동의료원(원장 이국현)은 15일 봉화군 석포행복나눔센터에서 지역 주민을 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 행복병원’ 농촌왕진버스 무료 합동진료를 실시했다.

이번 진료는 농협중앙회가 주관하는 농촌왕진버스 사업의 일환으로 마련됐으며, 안동의료원을 비롯해 포항의료원, 김천의료원 등 도내 3개 공공의료원이 함께 참여했다.

이날 현장에는 정형외과·신경외과·내과 전문의가 참여해 X-ray 촬영, 골밀도 검사, 혈액검사와 함께 처방약 제공까지 연계한 원스톱 의료서비스를 제공했다.

특히 병·의원이 부족한 농촌 오지를 직접 찾아 의료기관 방문이 어려운 고령층과 의료취약계층 주민들이 생활권 내에서 전문 진료를 받을 수 있도록 지원해 큰 호응을 얻었다.

진료를 받은 주민들은 “평소 병원이 멀어 진료받기 어려웠는데 직접 찾아와 검사와 진료, 처방까지 받을 수 있어 큰 도움이 됐다”며 만족감을 나타냈다. 현장에서는 “앞으로도 이런 진료가 자주 이어졌으면 좋겠다”는 반응도 이어졌다.

이국현 안동의료원장은 “도민을 섬기는 마음으로 의료취약지역 주민들이 필요한 의료서비스를 가까운 곳에서 받을 수 있도록 이번 진료를 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 찾아가는 공공의료서비스를 지속 확대해 의료사각지대 해소에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Andong Medical Center Conducts Free Joint ‘Visiting Happiness Hospital’ Clinic in Seokpo, Bonghwa

On the 15th, Gyeongsangbuk-do Andong Medical Center (Director Lee Guk-hyeon) conducted a free joint clinic for local residents using the ‘Visiting Happiness Hospital’ rural medical bus at the Seokpo Happiness Sharing Center in Bonghwa-gun.

This clinic was organized as part of the rural medical bus project hosted by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), with the participation of three public medical centers in the province, including Andong Medical Center, Pohang Medical Center, and Gimcheon Medical Center.

On-site, specialists in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and internal medicine provided a one-stop medical service that included X-ray imaging, bone density testing, blood tests, and the provision of prescription medication.

In particular, the initiative received a positive response for directly visiting remote rural areas lacking hospitals and clinics, supporting the elderly and medically vulnerable residents who find it difficult to visit medical institutions to receive specialized medical care within their living areas.

Residents who received treatment expressed their satisfaction, saying, “It was usually difficult to receive medical care because the hospital was far away, but being able to come directly to receive examinations, treatment, and prescriptions was a great help.” At the site, there were also reactions such as, “I hope this kind of medical service continues frequently in the future.”

Lee Guk-hyeon, Director of Andong Medical Center, stated, “We organized this medical service with a heart of service to the provincial residents, ensuring that residents in medically underserved areas can receive necessary medical services close to home.” He added, “We will continue to expand outreach public medical services to strive to eliminate blind spots in healthcare.”
