구미시의회 제295회 임시회 개회…구미전자정보기술원장 인사청문특위 구성

【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=구미시의회(의장 박교상)가 15일부터 21일까지 7일간의 일정으로 제295회 임시회를 개회하고 본격적인 의정활동에 들어갔다.

이날 제1차 본회의에 앞서 진행된 5분 자유발언에서 김근한 의원은 ‘방산 공급망 도시로서의 구미’ 중요성을 강조하며, 구미를 단순한 방산도시를 넘어 공급망 중심의 허브 도시로 육성해야 한다고 주장했다.

본회의에서는 구미전자정보기술원 원장 후보자 문추연 씨에 대한 인사 검증을 위해 7명의 의원으로 구성된 인사청문특별위원회도 설치됐다. 위원장에는 소진혁 의원, 간사에는 신용하 의원이 선출됐으며 강승수, 김근한, 김낙관, 이정희, 이지연 의원이 위원으로 참여한다.

인사청문특별위원회는 구미시장이 지난 7일 제출한 인사청문 요청안에 따라 구성됐으며, 요청안 접수일로부터 20일 이내에 청문 절차를 마무리할 계획이다.

이번 임시회에서는 15일 개회식과 제1차 본회의를 시작으로, 16일 상임위원회에서 의원발의 조례안 7건을 포함한 조례안 16건과 집행기관 제출 안건 등 총 24건을 심사한다. 이어 21일 제2차 본회의에서 각 상임위 심사를 거친 조례안과 기타 안건을 최종 의결한 뒤 회기를 마칠 예정이다.

박교상 의장은 개회사를 통해 “이번 임시회에서 시민 생활과 밀접한 현안을 면밀히 점검하고 실효성 있는 정책 대안을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

소진혁 인사청문특별위원장은 “구미전자정보기술원은 전자·정보통신·스마트 제조 등 지역 주력 산업의 기술 경쟁력 강화와 기업 지원을 통해 구미 경제를 견인해 온 핵심 연구기관”이라며 “후보자의 전문성, 리더십, 윤리성을 종합적으로 검증해 지역 산업 발전을 이끌 적임자인지 철저히 살펴보겠다”고 말했다.

Gumi City Council Opens 295th Extraordinary Session… Special Committee for Personnel Hearing for Gumi Electronics & Information Technology Institute Director Formed

The Gumi City Council (Chairperson Park Gyo-sang) opened its 295th Extraordinary Session for a seven-day schedule from the 15th to the 21st and commenced full-scale legislative activities.

Council Member So Jin-hyeok was elected Chairperson and Council Member Shin Yong-ha as Secretary, while Council Members Kang Seung-su, Kim Geun-han, Kim Nak-gwan, Lee Jeong-hee, and Lee Ji-yeon will participate as members.

The Special Committee on Personnel Hearings was formed in accordance with the request for a personnel hearing submitted by the Mayor of Gumi on the 7th, and plans to complete the hearing process within 20 days of receiving the request.

This extraordinary session will begin with an opening ceremony and the first plenary session on the 15th. On the 16th, standing committees will review a total of 24 items, including 16 ordinance bills (including 7 proposed by council members) and agenda items submitted by the executive branch.
