【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군 농업기술센터는 ‘찾아가는 농업기계 순회수리 교육’을 실시하고 있다.
이는 본격적인 영농철을 맞아 농기계 고장으로 인한 영농 불편을 해소하고 농업인의 자가 점검·정비 및 수리 능력을 향상하기 위함이다.
센터에 따르면 지난 3월 금왕읍 정생2리 마을을 시작으로 올해 50개 마을을 순회하며 농기계 안전 사용법 및 사전 점검·정비 등 농기계 안전사고 예방을 위한 현장 중심의 교육이 이뤄진다.
이번 교육은 영농철에 많이 활용되고 있는 예초기, 방제기, 관리기 등 소형 농기계 위주로 진행된다. 농기계 수리 시 1개의 단가 15000원 미만의 부품과 주행형 동력경운기에 LED 경광등을 무상으로 부착(설치) 해주는 등 농가들의 경제적 부담을 덜어주는 한편 농업인이 직접 정비·수리 실습을 할 수 있도록 지도해 자가 정비 능력 향상에 도움을 줄 계획이다.
또한 센터는 마을에서 자가 정비·수리 중에 발생하는 폐오일로 인한 토양 및 수질오염 방지와 쾌적한 농촌 환경 유지를 위해 폐유를 담아 둘 수 있는 폐유 수집 통을 마을에 보급하고 있다.
채기욱 군 농업기술센터 소장은 “현장에 답이 있다”며 “찾아가는 현장 교육을 통해 농업인들의 농기계 관련 애로사항을 직접 듣고 현장에서 해결할 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
