전남도는 지난 16일부터 이틀간 여수 히든베이 호텔에서 도 및 시·군 의료급여 관계자 64명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026 의료급여사업 관계자 역량 강화 워크숍’을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 워크숍은 급변하는 복지 환경에 맞춰 실무자의 전문성을 제고하고, 지역 내 의료급여 수급자 6만 8천여 명에게 보다 질 높은 의료 서비스를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 워크숍의 가장 큰 화두는 올해부터 전격 시행된 의료급여 부양비 기준 폐지였다. 부양의무자 기준이 사라짐에 따라 의료급여 신규 수급자가 대폭 증가할 것으로 예상되는 만큼, 도는 일선 현장에서의 혼선을 방지하고 체계적인 사례관리를 수행할 수 있도록 대응 전략을 집중 논의했다.
참석자들은 특히 장기 입원 중인 수급자가 퇴원 후에도 지역사회 내에서 안정적으로 생활할 수 있도록 돕는 ‘재가의료급여’ 성공 사례를 공유하며, 수급자 중심의 맞춤형 지원 방안을 모색했다.

더불어 현장에서 묵묵히 헌신해 온 의료급여사업 유공자 5명에게 표창을 수여하며 그간의 노고를 격려했다. 워크숍에 참여한 한 주무관은 “복잡한 부당이득금 관리 업무에 대한 명확한 가이드라인을 얻었을 뿐만 아니라, 재가의료급여 제도를 통해 수급자들에게 실질적인 변화를 만들어낼 수 있다는 자신감을 얻은 소중한 시간이었다”고 소감을 전했다.
