이번 점검은 공동주택, 전통시장 등 시민 생활과 밀접한 시설을 중심으로 공공·민간 전반에 걸쳐 2개월간 진행된다.
중구청은 오는 4월 20일부터 6월 19일까지 '2026년 집중안전점검'을 시행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 점검 대상은 총 77곳으로, 공동주택과 전통시장은 물론 다중이용업소, 숙박시설, 의료기관, 기계식 주차장 등 다양한 생활시설이 포함됐다.
점검은 범정부 합동 방침에 따라 추진된다. 중구는 최근 발생한 사고 사례와 언론 보도, 제도상 취약 요소 등을 종합적으로 분석해 대상지를 선정했으며, 건축·전기·소방 분야의 민간 전문가와 자율방재단까지 참여시켜 현장 진단의 전문성과 실효성을 한층 강화했다.
현장 점검 과정에서는 열화상카메라, 절연저항측정기, 방수압력계 등 전문 장비를 동원해 설비 과열 여부 및 전기·시설 안전 상태를 꼼꼼히 점검한다. 이 결과는 '집중안전점검 관리시스템'에 기록·관리되며, 중대한 결함 발견 시 즉시 시정명령과 보수·보완 조치가 내려진다.
서경현 중구청장 권한대행은 “안전사고는 사전 점검과 초기 대응만 잘해도 충분히 막을 수 있다”며 “주민과 함께하는 안전관리로 신뢰받는 도시 환경을 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
