이번 사업은 타 지역 거주 관광객이 중부내륙 6개 시군을 여행한 뒤 인증사진, 소비 영수증, 사회관계망서비스(SNS) 인증 등 다양한 미션을 수행하면 방문 지역 수에 따라 최대 30만 원 상당의 지역 특산품을 제공하는 참여형 관광 프로그램이다.
행사는 지난 13일부터 오는 11월 29일까지 진행된다. 참여를 희망하는 관광객은 여행 전 온라인(네이버폼)을 통해 사전 여행 계획서를 제출한 뒤, 여행을 마치고 7일 이내 경품 신청서를 제출하면 된다.
다만 개별 관광객 유치를 위한 사업인 만큼 여행사는 참여할 수 없으며, 각 참여 시군 주민은 해당 지역 참여 대상에서 제외된다.
봉화군은 이번 사업을 통해 지역 대표 관광지와 축제, 체험시설 등을 널리 알리고 체류형 관광객 유치 효과를 높일 계획이다.
봉화군 관계자는 “이번 미션 챌린지 투어는 단순 방문을 넘어 체험과 소비를 함께 유도하는 참여형 관광 프로그램”이라며 “더 많은 관광객이 봉화를 찾아 지역의 다양한 매력을 경험하길 기대한다”고 말했다.
