【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시장 선거에 출마한 개혁신당 이수찬 후보가 수성구에서 선거사무소 개소식을 열고, 정치 개혁과 세대교체를 전면에 내세웠다.
이수찬 후보는 지난 18일 오후 수성구 선거사무소에서 열린 개소식에서 "청년이 떠나지 않고, 기업과 인재가 자연스럽게 찾아오는 대구를 만들겠다"며 강한 출마 의지를 드러냈다.
이날 행사에는 이준석 대표를 비롯해 천하람 최고위원, 이주영, 김성열 등 당 지도부가 대거 참석해 지지를 보냈다. 지역 시·군·구 의원 후보자와 시민사회, 종교계 인사들도 함께 자리했다.
은장권 이사장은 축사에서 "지역에 대한 이해와 애정을 가진 인물이 시장을 맡아야 한다"고 강조했고, 동화사 주지 선광 스님은 "시민 곁에서 꾸준히 봉사해온 후보"라고 평했다.
이준석 대표는 "대구가 거대 양당에 여러 번 기회를 줬지만, 시민이 기대한 변화는 충분하지 않았다"며 "이제는 미래지향적 대안을 선택해야 할 때"라고 목소리를 높였다.
이수찬 후보는 "보여주기식 정치와 이제는 결별하겠다"며 "투자하고 싶은 도시, 청년이 정착하는 대구로 변모시키겠다"고 밝혔다. 특히 기업 유치와 청년 정착을 양대 축으로 내세워, 지역 경제 구조를 근본적으로 바꾸겠다는 구상도 내놨다.
