시흥시, 2차 복지 사각지대 발굴 추진

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시가 중동 정세 불안에 따른 고물가 등 경제적 위기 상황에 대비해 4월 16일부터 5월 29일까지 복지 사각지대에 놓인 취약계층을 집중 발굴하고 지원한다.

시는 현재 운영 중인 비상 대응 전담조직과 연계해 민생경제 안정 대책을 추진하며 경제적 어려움을 겪는 가구가 소외되지 않도록 복지 안전망을 강화할 방침이다.

시는 지난 1분기 동안 1차 조사를 통해 1990건의 위기가구를 발굴하고 이 중 1907건에 대해 기초생활보장과 민간 후원 등 맞춤형 서비스를 지원한 바 있다.

이번 2차 집중 발굴 기간에는 실직이나 관리비 체납 및 금융 연체 등으로 어려움을 겪는 가구를 비롯해 수급 가능성이 있는 차상위 계층 등을 적극적으로 찾아내 권리 구제에 나선다.
