전남도는 20일 여수세계박람회장 일원에서 개막식을 개최하고, 대한민국의 기후 리더십 확보를 위한 본격적인 행보에 나섰다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 오는 25일까지 이어지며 포럼, 세미나, 청년 프로그램 등 다채로운 일정으로 채워진다.
이날 개막식에는 김영록 전남도지사를 비롯해 김성환 기후에너지환경부 장관, 유엔기후변화협약 부사무총장, 각국 정부 대표 및 산업계·학계 관계자, 청년·시민단체 등 800여 명이 참석해 녹색대전환 정책에 대한 높은 관심을 입증했다.
