제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 대전광역시선거관리위원회(이하 대전선관위)가 물 샐 틈 없는 투표 관리 체계 구축에 나섰다.
대전선관위는 21일 선관위 대회의실에서 사전투표관리관과 장비담당 사무원들을 대상으로 실무 중심의 집중 교육을 실시했다.
이번 교육은 유권자가 투표소에서 마주하게 될 사전투표 운용 장비와 통합명부시스템의 안정적인 운용에 초점을 맞췄다.
참가자들은 실제 장비를 활용한 반복 실습을 통해 장애 발생 시 대처 요령과 시스템 운용 절차를 꼼꼼히 익혔다.
특히 이번 선거에서는 현장 대응력을 극대화하기 위해 교육 과정이 대폭 강화됐다.
기존 구 선관위별로 진행하던 두 차례의 교육에 더해, 대전선관위가 직접 주관하는 실무 중심의 통합 교육을 한 번 더 추가했다.
이에 따라 교육 횟수는 총 3회로 늘어났으며, 투표 현장에서 발생할 수 있는 변수를 사전에 차단하겠다는 의지를 담았다.
대전선관위는 관내 각 구 선관위와 협력해 교육 일정을 이어가는 동시에 투표 장비의 사전 점검에도 만전을 기하고 있다.
선관위 관계자는 지방선거의 공정성과 투명성은 철저한 사전 준비에서 시작된다며, 유권자의 소중한 의사가 단 한 표의 오차도 없이 반영될 수 있도록 선거 관리 역량을 집중하겠다고 밝혔다.
