브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 정부의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 방역 업무를 방해한 혐의로 구속기소된 이만희(89) 신천지예수교 증거장막성전(신천지) 총회장이 "치료받으며 재판에 끝까지 임하겠다"면서 보석청구를 인용해 달라고 호소했다.
이 총회장은 28일 오전 수원지법 제11형사부(부장판사 김미경) 심리로 열린 제3차 공판준비기일에 참석해 "(몸이 아파) 이대로는 재판 끝까지 가겠냐. 재판 끝날 때까지는 살아봐야겠다"며 이같이 말했다.
이 총회장은 이날 파란색 수의에 마스크를 쓴 채 휠체어를 타고 법정에 나왔다. 재판 도중 재판부가 보석 청구에 대한 의견을 묻자 "재판이 끝날 때까지 살겠나, 못 살겠나 그게 걱정이다. 재판이 끝날 때까지 살아봐야한다고 생각해 억지로 나왔다"고 말했다.
