브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 여야 정치권은 25일 타계한 고(故) 이건희 삼성전자 회장에게 일제히 애도를 표했다.
다만 이 회장의 업적에 대한 평가는 엇갈렸다. 여당은 삼성이 거대 기업으로 성장하는 과정에서 발생한 문제를 지적한 반면, 보수 야당은 삼성의 업적에 초점을 맞췄다.
허영 더불어민주당 대변인은 이날 서면브리핑을 통해 "이 회장은 삼성의 글로벌 도약을 이끌며 한국경제 성장의 주춧돌을 놓은 주역이었다"고 평가하며 "한국에서 가장 성공한 기업인으로 화려한 스포트라이트를 받았지만, 그의 인생은 파란만장했던 영욕의 삶이었다"고 밝혔다.
허 대변인은 "그의 말대로 삼성은 초일류 기업을 표방했지만, 이를 위한 과정은 때때로 초법적이었다"며 "경영권 세습을 위한 일감 몰아주기와 부당 내부거래, 정경유착과 무노조 경영 등 그가 남긴 부정적 유산들은 우리 사회가 청산해야 할 시대적 과제"라고 했다.
이어 "이 회장의 타계를 계기로, 이재용 부회장이 지난 대국민 사과에서 국민들께 약속했던 ‘새로운 삼성’이 조속히 실현되길 바란다"고 했다.
이낙연 대표도 자신의 페이스북 글을 통해 "삼성은 과거의 잘못된 고리를 끊고 새롭게 태어나기를 바란다"며 "고인의 빛과 그림자를 차분하게 생각하며, 삼가 명복을 빈다"고 전했다.
정호진 정의당 수석대변인도 브리핑에서 "이 회장은 정경유착과 무노조 경영이라는 초법적 경영 등으로 대한민국 사회에 어두운 역사를 남겼다. 그리고 그 그림자가 이재용 부회장에게 이어졌다"며 "이제 그 어두운 역사의 그림자를 지우고, 재벌개혁을 자임하는 국민 속의 삼성이 되길 바란다"고 부정적 측면을 부각했다.
반면 배준영 국민의힘 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "고인은 반도체, 휴대전화 등의 첨단 분야에서 삼성이 세계 1위의 글로벌 기업이 되는 기틀을 마련한, 국민의 자부심을 높였던 선각자였다"면서 "고인이 생전에 보여준 세계 초일류 기업을 위한 뼈를 깎는 노력, '마누라, 자식 빼놓고 모두 바꿔라'라는 혁신의 마인드는 분야를 막론하고 귀감이 되었다"고 평가했다.
배 대변인은 이어 "고인의 뜻이 헛되지 않도록, 우리 모두가 혁신과 노력을 통해 다가올 미래를 준비해 나가야 할 것"이라며 "다시 한 번 고 이건희 회장이 편히 영면하시길 기원한다"고 했다.
주호영 원내대표 역시 입장문을 통해 "'가족 빼고 모두 바꾸자'는 파격의 메시지로 삼성을 세계 1등 기업으로 이끈 혁신의 리더, 이건희 회장이 별세했다"며 "삼성과 함께 대한민국의 위상까지 세계 속에 우뚝세운 이건희 회장의 기업사를 후대가 기억할 것"이라고 말했다.
안혜진 국민의당 대변인도 "고인의 명복을 빈다. 편히 영면하시길 기원한다"며 "경제계의 큰 별이 졌다. 고인께서 살아생전 대한민국 경제에 이바지한 업적은 결코 적지 않았다"고 애도를 표했다.
한편, 열린민주당은 애도 메시지를 내지 않기로 했다.
