브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당 대선 후보들은 2일 윤석열 전 검찰총장의 장모 최 모(74)씨가 요양급여 부정수급 혐의로 실형을 선고받자 "사필귀정(事必歸正, 무슨 일이든 결국 옳은 이치대로 돌아간다)"이라며 일제히 맹비판했다.
먼저 이재명 경기도지사는 이날 오전 비대면 기자간담회에서 "사필귀정인 것 같다"며 "같이 범죄적 사업을 했는데 이분만 빠졌다는 게 사법적 정의의 측면에서 옳지 않았다는 생각이 든다. 제자리로 간 것 같다"고 말했다.
이재명 지사는 "범죄적 사업을 같이 했는데 당신은 책임이 없는 것으로 하자는 각서를 썼다고 책임을 면했다는 걸 보고 '어, 이건 아닌데' 하는 생각이 들었다"며 "이 분(윤 전 총장 장모) 배경에 엄청난 힘이 있나 보다고 생각했다"고 꼬집었다.
정세균 전 총리도 이날 자신의 SNS에 "검찰총장 출신답지 않게 검찰 수사를 무리한 수사라 단정 짓더니 사법부 판결도 무리한 판결이라 할 것이냐"라며 "내 장모는 누구에게 10원 한 장 피해를 준 적이 없다는 말은 결국 거짓말이 됐다. 지도자가 되려면 정직해야 한다. 누구에게도 예외는 없다"고 비판했다.
추미애 전 대표도 SNS에 "추미애-윤석열 갈등'으로 보자기 씌우듯 감싼 특권과 반칙, 한 꺼풀만 벗겨져도 검찰총장 출신 대권후보의 거대한 악의 바벨탑이 드러나기 시작했다. 누가 옳았느냐"면서 "총장 재직 시 정권으로부터 탄압받는 피해자라며 여론을 속이다가 대선 직행하면서 야당후보 탄압이라는 피해자 코스프레를 하는 것이 사법정의를 방해하기 위한 궤변이 아니길 바란다"고 꼬집었다.

박용진 의원 역시 자신의 SNS를 통해 "무엇보다 국민건강보험공단의 재정을 악화시켜 국민에게 피해를 줬다는 측면에서 이 사건은 국민연금을 동원해 국민의 노후자금에 손실을 끼쳤던 '박근혜-이재용 뇌물사건'의 또 다른 판박이"라며 "그 사건의 수사를 직접 지휘했던 윤석열 전 총장은 이 죄의 무게가 얼마나 큰 것인지 너무나 잘 알 것이다. 이 사건의 뒤늦은 처벌에 윤 전 총장이 검찰 재직 시절 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지도 국민적 의혹이 되고 있다"고 했다.
최문순 강원지사는 SNS에 "그가 주장한 정의와 공정이 허구이자 사기였다는 사실이 하나둘 드러나고 있다"며 "거짓은 진실을 이길 수 없다"며 "뒤틀린 정의와 공정을 얘기하며 국민을 현혹하고 혼란을 야기한 것에 대해 윤 전 총장은 즉각 사과하고, 대선 출마를 즉각 철회할 것을 촉구한다"고 말했다.
이광재 의원은 "윤 전 총장의 파렴치함이 드러난 순간"이라며 "'헌법'과 '법치주의', 그리고 '공정과 상식'으로 대국민 표팔이를 해온 윤 총장의 해명이 궁금하다. 또 다시 도리도리 고개를 저으려느냐. 정치인의 기본 자질은 능력과 도덕성이다. 장모의 혐의를 시작으로 최근 불거진 배우자에 대한 논란까지, 정치를 하시려거든 모든 의혹을 당당히 털고 나오시길 바란다"고 촉구했다.
양승조 충남지사는 "개인적으로 안됐지만 윤 전 총장과 가장 가까운 인물들 중 한 명의 민낯이 드러난 것이다. 윤석열 전 총장은 분명하게 답해야 한다"며 "불법사실을 인지했는지, 불법운영 과정에 권력이 개입한 사실이 있는지 등에 대해 명백하게 밝혀줄 것을 국민의 이름으로 강력히 요청한다"고 했다.
한편, 의정부지법 형사13부(부장판사 정성균)는 이날 의료법 위반과 특정경제범죄가중처벌등에관한법률 위반(사기) 혐의로 기소된 윤 전 총장의 장모 최모 씨에게 징역 3년을 선고하고 법정구속했다.
