안동과학대, 2021년 대학 진단 가결과 일반재정지원대학으로 선정

안동과학대학교(총장 권상용)는 교육부가 주관하는 2021년 대학 기본역량 진단 가결과 일반재정지원대학으로 선정되었다.

교육부는 지난 17일 일반대학 161개와 전문대학 124개 등 전국 285개교가 참여한 2021년 대학 기본역량 진단에서 233개교(일반대학 136개교, 전문대학 97개교)를 가결과 일반재정지원대학으로 선정했다고 밝혔다.

평가는 발전계획의 성과, 교육 여건, 대학 운영의 책무성, 교육과정 운영 및 상학협력, 학생지원, 교육성과 등 6개 항목 14개 지표에 대한 정량 및 정성평가로 진행되었다.

앞서 안동과학대학교는 지난 2018년에 시행된 대학 기본역량 진단에서도 ‘자율개선대학’에 선정되어 2019년부터 2021년까지 재정지원(전문대학 혁신지원사업)을 받아왔으며, 이번 평가에서는 일반재정지원대학으로 선정되어 2022년부터 2024년까지 3년간 대학혁신지원사업과 국가 및 지자체의 특수 목적 재정 지원을 받게 된다.

권상용 총장은 “2015년부터 2021년까지 3차례에 걸쳐 진행된 ”대학 기본역량 진단“을 통해 우리대학이 충분한 경쟁력을 갖춘 대학임이 입증되었으며, 모든 구성원이 노력해준 결실”이라며 “좋은 결실과 받은 것에 안주하지 않고 미래지향적인 고등교육을 선도하는 지역대학으로 발전해나갈 수 있도록 더욱 노력해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
