경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 경주 경희학교 김정임 주무관을 7월 청렴인으로 선정했다.
경북교육청은 지난 4월부터 반부패 청렴정책의 일환으로 도내 교직원 중 청렴한 직원을 추천받아 자체 심사하는 방식을 통해 매월 청렴인을 선발하고 있다.
청렴인 선발은 학교 현장에서 작지만 아름다운 미담 사례를 발굴·소개하고 긍정적인 영향력을 전파해 공직자의 적극적인 업무추진을 유도하면서 조직 내 청렴한 공직문화를 정착시키기 위해 마련되었다.
이번에 선정된 김정임 주무관은 학교회계 예결산 및 지출업무를 담당하고 있으며, 평소 적극적인 업무추진과 교육지원 활동으로 우수한 평가를 받았다.
김 주무관은 경희학교의 회계를 효율적으로 운영한 결과 2020년 학교회계 운영 최우수기관에 선정돼 교육감 표창을 받은 바 있으며, (기관)시상금 300만 원으로 졸업생에 대한 앨범구입비 지원 및 코로나19 감염예방을 위한 전교생 마스크 지원에 사용되도록 하는데 기여했다.

김혜정 감사관은 “‘자세히 보아야 아름답다’며 주위에서 묵묵하게 자신의 일에 최선을 다하고 있는 청렴인을 지속적으로 발굴해 널리 알림으로써 청렴문화가 조기에 자리잡도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
