지난 24일, 한중 수교 29주년이 되는 해이다. 한중관계는 1992년 한중 수교 이후 인적 교류와 무역 등 다방면에서 상승곡선을 이루었다. 한중 수교 29주년을 맞아 뜻깊은 경축 행사가 주한 중국대사관에서 오프라인뿐만 아니라 온라인에서 동시에 열렸다.
이날 한중 수교 29주년 경축 리셉션에는 싱하이밍(邢海明) 주한 중국대사 축사와 한중인사로는 리자오싱(李肇星) 전 중국외교부 장관, 한팡밍(韓方明) 중국 전국인민정치협상협회의(정협) 외사위원회 부주임, 반기문 전 유엔사무총장, 문희상 전 국회의장 등이 영상으로 축사를 전했다.
이창호 한중교류촉진위원회 위원장은 온라인 축사에서 “세계정세 속에서, 이웃 나라인 중국은 대한민국에게 어떤 의미일까요? 중국은 거의 모든 면에서 미국과 함께 G2의 역할을 감당하는 괄목할 만한 성장을 한 위대한 국가입니다. 중국은 정치, 경제, 역사, 문화 등의 분야에서 그 상징성이 크다고 볼 수 있다.”며“한중의 미래를 위해 전천후 동반자 관계를 위한 새로운 시스템 구축과 새로운 교류 강화를 통해 관계 복원을 위한 다양한 방법론에 대해 진지하게 논의해야 한다.”며“향후 한중교류의 새로운 생태계 조성을 위한 다양한 연계사업 또한 적극적으로 수행해야 할 것이다.”며 지속적인 양국이 선린우호 관계의 필요성을 강조했다.
이날 참석한 인사로는 장철인 서영대학교 교수ㆍ김문준 공주대학교 교수ㆍ김택근 성지HR 대표ㆍ이재성 티맥스AI 상무ㆍ박현수 이사 등 10여명의 임원 및 관계자와 함께 경축 리셥션에 온라인으로 참석했다.

[전문] 한중 “상생으로 번영”을 이룩하자
2021년 올해는 한중수교 29주년입니다. COVID-19의 광풍 속에서 헤매던 세계는 백신(vaccine)의 보급으로 한 줄기 회복에 대한 희망을 품게 되었습니다. 세계인들은 COVID-19로 상실했던 일상을 되찾게 될 것이라는 기대로 미래를 향한 발걸음을 다시금 시작하고 있습니다.
세계정세 속에서, 이웃 나라인 중국은 대한민국에게 어떤 의미일까요? 중국은 거의 모든 면에서 미국과 함께 G2의 역할을 감당하는 괄목할 만한 성장을 한 위대한 국가입니다. 중국은 정치, 경제, 역사, 문화 등의 분야에서 그 상징성이 크다고 볼 수 있습니다.
중국은 전면적 소강사회(중산층 사회) 달성을 선포하였고 공산당의 지도에 따라 인류 공동의 난제 해결과 아름다운 세계 건설을 위해 중국의 방안과 지혜를 모으기 위한 노력을 지속적으로 수행하고 있습니다.
특히 올해는 중국공산당 성립 100주년이며 한중 수교 29년이 되는 해이며 ‘한중교류 문화의 해’이기도 합니다. 내년 북경 동계올림픽 개최를 앞두고 상호 존중의 문화체육교류를 확대해 나가는 것이 동북아 평화와 인류문화공동체 형성에 크게 기여할 것으로 저는 확신합니다.
한중 수교 29주년을 맞은 올해가 바로 그 도약의 계기가 되어야 할 것입니다. 한중 관계 발전에 새로운 전기를 마련하기 위해 한층 높은 수준의 상생과 협력, 평화와 번영의 역사를 함께 써 내려가기 위해 공동의 노력이 절대적으로 필요합니다.
한중 외교 네트워킹 강화를 통해 ‘한반도 신경제구상’과 ‘신 북방, 신 남방 정책’이 담고 있는 평화와 번영을 위한 남과 북의 연결, 더 나아가 중국과 유라시아까지 뉴 실크로드 개통, 1만 킬로미터 철도 수송시대 여는데 중국은 ‘전략적 동반자’로서 함께해야 할 것입니다.
한중의 미래를 위해 전천후 동반자 관계를 위한 새로운 시스템 구축과 새로운 교류 강화를 통해 관계 복원을 위한 다양한 방법론에 대해 진지하게 논의해야 합니다. 더불어 한중교류의 새로운 생태계 조성을 위한 다양한 연계사업 또한 적극적으로 수행해야 할 것입니다.
마지막으로 한중 수교 29주년을 맞는 양국 관계는 희망찬 청년의 관계입니다. 살다 보면 좋은 날도 있고 궂은 날도 있듯이 한중 관계도 마찬가지입니다. 중국이 부상하고 있는 작금, 한중의 관계개선이 무엇보다 시급하고 한국도 중국도 동북아의 발전적 미래를 위해 전천후 ‘상생번영’을 함께 열어가야 할 것입니다. 감사합니다. 2021년 8월 24일. 이창호 한중교류촉진위원회 위원장.

2021 marks the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China. The world, which was lost in the frenzy of COVID-19, has hoped for a recovery with the spread of vaccines. People around the world are starting a new step towards the future with the expectation that they will regain their daily lives lost due to COVID-19.
In the global context, what does China, a neighboring country, mean to Korea? China is a great country that has achieved remarkable growth in almost every way, playing a G2 role alongside the United States. It can be seen that China has great symbolism in the fields of politics, economy, history, and culture.
China has declared the achievement of an all-round prosperous society (middle-class society), and under the leadership of the Communist Party, it is continuously making efforts to gather China's plans and wisdom to solve common human problems and build a beautiful world.
In particular, this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China, and also the “Year of Korea-China Exchange Culture.” I am confident that expanding cultural and sports exchanges of mutual respect ahead of next year's Beijing Winter Olympics will greatly contribute to peace in Northeast Asia and the formation of a human cultural community.
This year, which marks the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China, should be an opportunity for that leap forward. Joint efforts are absolutely necessary to write a new history of coexistence and cooperation, peace and prosperity at a higher level in order to prepare a new turning point in the development of Korea-China relations.
