출마선언 이후 대구경북을 방문해 민심 청취에 나선 국민의힘 대선주자 유승민 후보가 경산시을 찾아 2030세대 청년들을 만났다.
30일 유승민 후보는 ‘청년과 유승민, 더 나은 내일을 위해’라는 주제로 2030세대와 소통을 위한 간담회를 개최했다.

간담회에는 30여 명의 청년이 각자의 고민에 대해 가지고 있는 다양한 질문을 던지고 유승민 후보의 답변을 듣는 시간이 이어졌다.
이 날 청년들은 비트코인, 워라밸, 코로나19, 지방인재 수도권 유출 등 2030세대가 가장 관심 있는 문제에 대해 질문을 던졌고 유승민 후보는 자신의 견해를 솔직하고 구체적으로 설명했다.
특히 이날 유 후보는 대구의 중장년층에서 낮은 지지율을 보이는 것에 대해 묻는 청년의 질문에 “아마 박근혜 대통령과의 관계가 좋지 않아서 아직도 대구에 있는 중장년층들이 저에게 서운한 감정을 가지고 있는 것 같다. 정치하는 사람은 옳다고 생각하는 길을 가는 것이 맞다고 생각해 4선 국회의원을 지내면서 권력 앞에 타협하고 아부하지 않았다. 저는 저와 같이 정치하는 사람이 있어야 옳고 더 많아야 된다고 생각한다”고 설명했다.
그러면서 “지금 야권에서 윤석열 후보와 홍준표 후보, 저까지 경쟁을 하고 있는데 대구경북 시도민들에이 저를 지지하고 도와주시면 세명 경쟁에서 확치고 1등으로 올라 갈 수 있을 것 같다”면서 “그렇지만 표가 급하다고 마음을 바꾸고 옳다고 생각한 선택에 대해 바꿀 수는 없는 일 아니겠나. 언젠가 이해해 줄 것이라고 믿는다. 그럴 수 있도록 주변에 잘 얘기 해달라”며 지지를 당부했다.
