대구가톨릭대(총장 우동기)와 (사)한국산림보호협회(중앙회장 허태조)가 상호교류 협약을 체결해 산림보호를 위해 나선다고 밝혔따.
지난 3일 대구가톨릭대 본관에서 체결된 상호교류 협약은 △산림보호 활동 확산 △연구자료와 학술정보 및 우수 연구 인력, 인적 네트워크 상호활용 △협약기관의 공간과 시설 등 인프라의 공동이용 △전문교육에 필요한 인적교류 및 강의지원 등을 주요 골자로 한다.

양 기관은 협약을 통해 한국산림보호협회 소속 회원이 대구가톨릭대 유스티노자유대학 입학 후 졸업 시까지 해당 기관의 회원임을 증명할 수 있는 경우 산학협력장학금을 지급하기로 했다.
우동기 대구가톨릭대 총장은 “배움에는 끝이 없는 만큼 직업환경이 새로워지면 그에 맞는 공부를 해야 할 것이다. 이번 협약을 통해 지역과 대학이 함께 발전하길 바란다”고 말했다.
