(사)한국민족종교협의회(회장 이범창)측은 보도자료에서 “10월1일부터 25일까지 서울 종로구 소재 천도교 수운회관 4층 전시실(종로3가 경운동)에서 문화체육관광부의 후원으로 천부경과 관련자료를 전시한다. 이번 전시회는 중국에 망명했던 전병훈 선생이 천부경을 해석하여 『정신철학통편』이라는 책을 1920년에 발간하고, 이를 세계 각 나라의 도서관에 보내 공개한 사실을 기억하기 위해 마련했다”고 밝혔다.
이번 전시회에는 전병훈 선생의 천부경 원문(사진)을 비롯하여 그 전에 발간된 ‘태백일사’ 천부경으로부터 항일독립지사 이시영부통령의 천부경은 물론 최근의 관련 자료까지 전시한다. 이번 전시회에는 광무9년(1905년)이라고 연도와 경문이 새겨진 천부경 비석(일시무시일, 일적십거)과 1883년에 제작된 단군 천진(天眞)을 비롯하여 여러 모양의 존영들이 공개된다. 아울러 김정환 사진작가와 정관 이형우 작가가 출품한 ‘천부경 작품전’도 함께 열린다.
