영진전문대, ‘UN 세계 여아의 날’ 기념 봉사 활동 펼쳐

영진전문대학교 사회봉사단이 ‘UN 세계 여아의 날’을 기념하며 면 생리대를 제작하여 아프리카 소녀들을 지원하는 활동을 펼쳤다.

영진전문대 사회봉사단의 단원 30명은 10월 11일인 ‘UN 세계 여아의 날’을 맞아 월드비전에서 제공한 여아기본권보호, ‘베이직 포 걸스(basic for girls)-면 생리대 그 이상의 가치를 담다’ 영상 자료를 시청하고, 2시간 동안 면 생리대를 제작했다.

차보현 사회봉사단장(사회복지과 교수)은 “우리 학생들이 국경을 초월한 생명 존중, 인류애 실천에 동참하는 차원에서 이번 활동을 참여했다. 제작한 생리대는 국제 봉사 단체를 통해 아프리카 소녀들에게 전달하겠다”고 했다.

In commemoration of the ‘UN International Girls’ Day,’ the Youngjin College Social Volunteer Corps produced cotton sanitary napkins to support African girls.
