이들은 선언문을 통해 “확실하게 정권교체를 할 수 있고, 본선 경쟁력과 도덕성을 갖춘 인물이 우리당 후보가 되어야 한다”면서 “홍준표 후보 만이 우리 청년들의 희망이라고 생각한다”는 입장을 전했다.
같은 날 오후에는 국민의힘 청년당원들이 “소신껏 투표할 수 있게 해달라”고 목소리를 높였다.
