필자가 발행인으로 있는 브레이크뉴스(www.breaknews.com)를 “칼럼에 강한 신문”으로 변화-변환시키고 싶습니다. 왜냐고요? 칼럼은 국가와 사회를 변화-변화시킬 수 있는 무기라고 생각하기 때문입니다.
그동안 브레이크뉴스는 칼럼에 대해 재능기부 즉, 칼럼의 기부를 받아왔었습니다. 대다수 글들이나 뉴스가 무료화 된 인터넷 세상에 칼럼 기부 받음을 통한 글이나 뉴스의 브레이크뉴스 게재는 사장(死藏)된 글이나 뉴스를 무한의 공간에 영원히 저장하는 도서관의 기능을 대행한다고 생각합니다. 이런 취지에서 칼럼의 재능기부를 받아왔었습니다. 그 동안 여러분들이 참여해주셨습니다. 다양한 칼럼을 게재하게 됐습니다.
필자의 경우도 그 동안 종이신문 시대에 쓴 글들을 쉽게 찾아볼 수가 없어 고민이 많았습니다. 그러나 인터넷 시대에 어느 신문에 글을 올려놓으면 검색 기능의 발달로 인해 검색이 아주 용이해져 아주 좋았습니다. 이런 연유로 칼럼의 재능기부를 적극 권장합니다.
이후 한국 언론의 흐름은 빠른 시일 내에 각자 신문사의 저작권을 중요시하는 쪽으로 변화되리라 예측합니다. 그러하니 인터넷 신문에 다양한 정보나 뉴스의 탑재(搭載)가 중요하게 됐습니다.
자신의 주장-주의를 글에 담을 수 있는 칼럼은 국가와 사회를 변화-변화시킬 수 있는 첨단 정보화시대의 가장 강력한 무기라고 생각합니다. 특히 필자가 추구하고자 하는 것은 브레이크뉴스를 칼럼에 강한 신문으로 만들어 가는 것입니다.
브레이크뉴스는 학자나 각 분야 전문가님들의 칼럼을 재능기부 받는, 즉 필자로 모시는 운동을 벌이고 있습니다. 우리가 모두 함께 노력함으로써, 대한민국이 첨단 정보화 시대의 선진국가라는 저 너머 큰 강, 저 너머 큰 바다에서 만납시다. 이런 시대에 브레이크뉴스도 큰 언론으로 만들어 나아가겠습니다!
