울진군, "울진사랑실천! 울진愛 주소갖기 부터"

울진군(군수 전찬걸)이 인구증가를 위해 전 행정력을 집중하고 있는 가운데 4일‘울진사랑실천! 울진愛 주소갖기’운동 추진상황 보고회를 개최했다.

이번 보고회는 ‘울진사랑실천! 울진愛 주소갖기’ 운동 추진상황을 점검하고 부서별로 관내 유관기관 및 주요사업장 중심으로 미 전입자 현황을 분석해 향후 전입을 유도할 수 있는 구체적인 대응 방안 등을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

‘울진사랑실천! 울진愛 주소갖기’는 지역의 인구가 지속적으로 감소하는 상황에 대응하기 위해 실제로 거주하는 미 전입 인구의 전입을 유도하고자 추진 중인 인구증대운동으로, 전 실과소·읍면에서 관내 유관기관을 직접 찾아가 전입을 적극 유도하고 군의 다양한 인구정책을 홍보하고 있다.

군의 인구는 2015년 5만1천여 명에서 2020년 4만8천여 명으로 매년 6백여 명씩 줄어 5년 동안 3천여 명이 감소했으며, 지난 달 18일에는 행정안전부가 지정한 인구감소지역 89곳에 포함되는 등 인구감소문제는 갈수록 심각해지는 상황이다. 이에 군에서는 저출산·고령화 사회 대응 인구정책 연구용역을 시행하여 군의 지역적 특성을 반영하고 국도비 공모사업과 연계될 수 있는 차별화되고 실효성 있는 장·단기 실질적인 정주여건을 마련하기 위한 정책 사업을 발굴하고 있다.
