경북도립대학교(총장 김상동)가 2021년 캡스톤디자인 경진대회 및 창업동아리 시제품 전시회를 개최했다.
2일 대학 문화체육관에서 열린 2021년 캡스톤디자인 경진대회 및 창업동아리 시제품 전시회는 재학생, 교직원, 기업 관계자들이 참여한 가운데 진행되었다.
이날 캡스톤디자인 경진대회에는 총 15팀이 참가하였으며 학과별 11개의 시연물과 4개의 전시물이 출품되었다.

대회에서는 외부심사위원들의 평가 결과 인문사회·자연 분야에서 유아교육과 유교 1팀의 창의적 유아 교재·교구 디자인 개발 시연물이 참신성을 인정받아 금상을 수상했다.
공학분야에서는 소방방재과 너구리팀의 자동 개폐 분무 도어시연물이 참신한 아이디어와 결과물의 우수함으로 금상을 수상하였으며 이 외에도 분야별 3팀이 각각 은상(1팀)과 동상(2팀)을 차지했다.
또한 창업동아리 시제품 전시회에서는 보건미용과 창업동아리 C.A.P의 ‘한방 힐링 쿨 로션’, 토목공학과 창업동아리 유레카의 ‘교량 낙교 방지용 브라켓’등 5개 팀의 특색있는 창업동아리 작품들이 전시되어 보는 이들의 이목을 집중시켰다.
김상동 총장은 “경진대회 출품작과 창업동아리 시제품을 통해 재학생들의 창의력과 경쟁력이 무한함을 확인할 수 있었다”라며 “앞으로도 우리 학생들의 창의적 활동에 적극적으로 지원하여 졸업하기 전까지 다양한 경험을 갖도록 할 것이다”라고 밝혔다.
