경일대학교(총장 정현태) 건축학부가 ‘인공지능과 건축공학 세미나’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 세미나는 학부생들을 대상으로 인공지능을 활용한 건설 산업의 이해를 위해 마련되었다.

세미나에서는 오병관(건축공학전공) 교수가 인공지능에 대한 기초 지식과 이를 기반으로 하는 건축공학 기술에 대해 강의를 이어갔다.
김창수(건축공학전공 3학년) 학생은 “어렴풋하게만 이해하고 있던 인공지능의 개념을 확실하게 이해할 수 있었다”며 “실생활에서 쓰이고 있는 예시를 활용해 건축공학에 인공지능을 적용시켜 나갈 수 있을지에 대해 고민하고 논의하는 수업 방식이 특히 좋았다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
경일대 건축학부 엄신조 학부장은 “교육부 인증 교육과정 최우수 등급을 받은 경일대 건축공학전공은 스마트 신인재 양성을 목표하고 있으며 인공지능, 드론, 3D 프런터, 로보틱스 등과 같은 스마트 건축 교육에 힘쓰고 있다. 앞으로도 실무 현장학습 및 건설산업교육원과 연계하여 스마트 건설산업 인력양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
