대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 대구한방병원이 ‘사랑의 헌혈운동’ 헌혈캠페인에 앞장 서고 있다.
한의대에 따르면 전국 헌혈자수는 코로나-19의 여파로 2019년 약 280만명에서 2020년 260만여명으로 약 6.4％가 감소했으며, 최근 월평균 혈액재고량은 약4일 분 정도로 적정 혈액재고량에 비해 턱없이 부족한 상황이다.

대구한방병원은 대한적십자사 대구경북혈액원으로부터 헌혈버스를 지원받아 지난 26일 하루 동안 '코로나19 위기 극복을 위한 ‘사랑의 헌혈 운동’ 진행'에 나서, 대구한의대학교 수성캠퍼스 내 교직원과 학생, 대구테크노파크 한방뷰티융합센터 임직원과 입주업체 등 150여 명이 참여했고, 헌혈증 기부가 이루어졌다.
이날 대구한방병원과 대구경북혈액원은 협약서 교환을 통해 지속적인 ‘사랑의 헌혈 운동’을 진행해 나갈 예정이며, 범국민적인 헌혈운동 확산에 적극 지원하고 동참할 것을 약속했다.
대구한방병원은 혈액부족으로 수술환자, 응급환자 치료에 문제가 발생할 수 있기에 의료계 종사자들의 솔선수범으로 환자치료에 보탬이 되고자 2019년 이후 지속적으로 캠페인을 진행 해 오고 있다.
