대구대, 대구·경북 HACCP 인증업체 대상기술지원 설명회

대구대학교(총장 김상호) 산학협력단 HACCP교육원이 대구·경북 HACCP(식품안전관리인증기준) 인증업체 대상기술지원 설명회를 개최했다.

지난 24일 대구지방식품의약품안전청(식약청)이 주관한 이번 설명회는 어린이 기호식품 8개 품목을 생산하는 모든 식품제조·가공업체가 이번 달부터 HACCP이 의무 적용됨에 따라 신규 또는 소규모 HACCP 인증업체의 안정적인 운영 및 기술·정보 등을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

대구식약청 관계자는 최근 2년간 HACCP 조사·평가 결과와 주요 개선사례를 소개했으며, 대구대 HACCP교육원에서는 소규모 업체들의 HACCP 평가 준비에 대해서도 설명했다.

임무혁 대구대 식품공학과 교수는 “식품공학과는 HACCP에 대한 초급, 실무 및 실습교육을 매학기에 정규과목 및 특별교육으로 실시하고 있다”면서 “재학생들을 대상으로 식품 안전에 대한 강도 높은 교육을 진행하고 있다”고 말했다.

김성호 HACCP교육원장은 “이번 설명회가 소규모 HACCP 인증업체의 운영에 도움을 주고 대구·경북지역에 안전한 식품 공급 기반을 조성하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 업계의 사전 식품안전관리 역량이 강화될 수 있도록 대구식약청과 정보 교류와 소통의 장을 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
