대구 수성구(구청장 김대권)가 ‘제4회 외식업 선도지구 경진대회’에서 최우수기관으로 선정되었다고 6일 밝혔다.

농림축산식품부와 한국농수산식품유통공사가 공동으로 주관하는 ‘제4회 외식업 선도지구 경진대회’는 식문화를 선진화한 우수 외식업 지구를 발굴하고 인센티브를 지원해, 지역경제 주요 거점으로 성장시키기 위해 실시되는 대회이다.
수성구는 이번 대회에서 최우수기관으로 선정되었으며, 2021년 대한민국 최고의 외식거리라는 명성을 얻게 됐다.
아울러 들안길 먹거리타운이 최우수 외식지구로 선정되면서 수성구는 이를 통해 농림축산식품부 장관상과 시상금 2천만 원을 받게 됐다.
대형 모범음식점이 밀집한 들안길 먹거리타운은 넓은 주차장 보유로 이용객의 편의성 향상, 수성못, 대구스타디움 등 관광.문화자원과 인접, 수성못 페스티벌 등 먹거리 행사로 상권활성화에 기여, 들안길 특화를 살린 밀키트 개발,프롬나드 행복마을 조성사업으로 도시재생 및 관광 명소화 기반 마련 등 들안길만의 특화 외식거리를 꾸준히 육성한 것이 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히, 들안길 먹거리타운은 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 수성구청과 협업해 음식점 80% 이상을 ‘안심식당’으로 지정·운영하면서 안전한 외식거리 조성과 식사문화 개선에 적극적으로 참여했다는 평가를 받고 있다.
김대권 구청장은 “들안길 먹거리타운이 대한민국 최고의 외식거리로 선정돼 매우 뿌듯하다”며, “외식업 선도지구 명성에 걸맞게 들안길 먹거리타운을 찾아오시는 손님들이 안심하고 외식을 즐길 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
