영진전문대 펫케어과, 반려동물 사회화 관련 특강

영진전문대학교 펫케어과가 ‘우리집 댕댕이가 달라졌어요’라는 주제로 특강을 실시했다.

지난 3일 오후 영진전문대 청문관 펫케어과 미용실습실에서 진행된 이번 특강에서는 ‘사회화의 중요성’을 주제로 한 1부에서 반려동물의 사회화 시기와 잘못 알고 있는 사회화 내용에 대한 강의가, 2부에서는 반려동물의 사회화 결여로 발생하는 문제행동 종류와 원인, 3부는 사회성 테스트 실습 및 질의응답으로 특강이 이어졌다.

특강을 진행한 이덕윤 매너독 반려견 교육센터 대표는 “세상에 나쁜 개는 없다. 그렇다고 마냥 착한 개도 없다”며 “보호자는 물론 같이 사는 개에게도 교육은 필수”라며 사회화의 바른 의미와 내용을 소개했다.

이민영 교수(펫케어과)는 “반려동물 산업 구조가 확대, 세분화되는데 따라 우리 대학교 펫케어과는 교육과정 개발은 물론 현장 실습과 취업처를 선제적으로 발굴하는 차원에서 전국 단위 동물병원, 반려동물 산업체와 현장 맞춤형 주문식교육을 적극 추진하기로 뜻을 모았다. 협력 병원, 산업체, 대구수의사회, 경북수회의사회의 협력으로 내년 입학할 신입생들에게 최상의 교육, 최고의 인재를 교육 양성하겠다”고 말했다.
