이어 토론으로는 고민정(녹색소비자연대 사무총장), 김태환(서울시 물재생시설과 물재생운영팀장), 박광재(행정안전부 생활공간 정책과 환경개선팀장), 윤희정(시민패널) 씨 등이 발제자들과 함께 물티슈에 대한 토론을 가졌다.
이 행사를 주최한 행정안전부의 지역발전정책관 김명선 국장은 “탄소중립생활 실천 주간에 뜻 깊은 세미나를 가지게 된 것에 감사를 드리며 생활 속에서 미세 플라스틱의 한 종류가 되는 물티슈 사용을 줄일 수 있도록 부탁드린다”는 인사말을 했다.
이어 화장실문화시민연대 표혜령 대표는 “아직 많은 물티슈 사용자들이 물티슈의 원재료가 플라스틱이라는 사실을 모르기 때문에 곳곳에서 편하다는 이유로 사용이 만연되고 있다”면서 “모든 물티슈 사용자에게 홍보가 필요하다”고 피력했다.
방청객으로 참석한 윤권희 서울교통공사 대흥역장은 이런 사실적인 내용을 모든 물티슈사용자들이 알 수 있도록 홍보 계몽을 해달라는 부탁도 있었다.
