대구가톨릭대 패션디자인과 학생 10명이 ‘제24회 한국국제패션일러스트레이션 공모전’에서 브랜드상과 장려상 등을 휩쓸어 주목을 받고 있다.
최근 (사)한국패션일러스트레이션협회 주최로 열린 ‘제24회 한국국제패션일러스트레이션 공모전’은 패션산업의 세계화 시대에 부응할 창의적 신인 패션일러스트레이터를 발굴하고 패션전문인을 양성하기 위해 개최됐다.

총 8개국 1,000여 명이 참가한 이번 공모전에서 대구가톨릭대 패션디자인과 지예은(1학년) 학생은 전체 4위에 해당하는 브랜드상을, 3학년 이수민, 최윤아, 유정인 학생과 김예림(1학년) 학생은 장려상, 2학년 조형진, 김유진, 김유경 학생과 박가민(1학년), 유지민(3학년) 학생은 입선을 수상했다.
지예은 학생은 “평소 힙합을 좋아해 90년대 미국의 힙합을 좋아하는 청년들을 일러스트레이션으로 표현했다. 당시의 색감을 최대한 구현하고 다양한 색을 사용하려고 노력했으며, 구도를 잡을 때 선배들의 작품을 참고하고 교수님께 피드백도 많이 받았는데 노력을 인정받아 기쁘다”고 말했다.

10 students from the Daegu Catholic University's Fashion Design Department swept the Brand Award and Encouragement Award at the 24th Korea International Fashion Illustration Contest.
The 24th Korea International Fashion Illustration Contest, recently hosted by the Korea Fashion Illustrations Association, was held to discover creative new fashion illustrators and train fashion experts to meet the globalization of the fashion industry.
In this contest, in which 1,000 people from 8 countries participated, Yeeun Ji (1st year) of the Fashion Design Department of Daegu Catholic University received the Brand Award, which is 4th overall, Sumin Lee, Yuna Choi, Jeongin Yoo, and Yerim Kim (1st year) students in the 3rd year received the Encouragement Award and 2nd year Students Hyung-Jin Cho, Yu-Jin Kim, and Yu-Kyung Kim, and Ga-Min Park (1st year) and Yu-Min Yu (3rd year) were selected for the selection.
Student Ji Ye-eun said, "I usually like hip-hop, so I expressed the youth who liked hip-hop in America in the 90s through illustrations. I tried to realize the colors of the time as much as possible and use a variety of colors, and I referred to the works of my seniors when composing the composition and got a lot of feedback from the professor.
