능인고등학교(교장 김원술) 3학년 조진혁 학생이 이번 2022학년도 대학수학능력시험에서 전국 차석이자 미적분과 과학탐구를 선택하는 자연계열 기준 전국 수석의 영예를 차지했다.

이번 수능에서 조진혁 학생은 국수탐 기준 300점 만점에서 영어와 한국사는 모두 만점을 받고 국어 한 문항을 틀려 298점을 받았다.
이를 통해 재학생 기준 전국수석이라는 타이틀을 거머쥔 조진혁 학생은 앞서 6월 평가원 출제 모의평가에서는 학급 5등, 9월 평가원 출제 모의평가에서는 학급 3등으로 상승세를 이어오다가 이번 수능에서 국어 한 문항만 틀릴 만큼 꾸준히 성적을 향상시킨 것으로 알려진다.
조진혁 학생의 담임교사인 문병준 교사는 “진혁이는 본교 특색 프로그램인 ‘상상제작 아사달실’ 동아리에서 메이커교육 프로그램에 적극 참여하여 수능 뿐 아니라 학생부 종합전형대비에도 소흘함이 없었다”고 했다.
의학 계열 진학을 희망하는 조진혁 학생은 “국어시험이 어려웠지만, 다른 과목 시험을 볼 때 영향을 받지 않고 집중하려고 노력했다. 학교 행사와 프로그램에 충실히 참여하며 수시와 정시 둘 다 대비하느라 힘들었지만 좋은 성적을 거두어 기분이 좋다”며 소감을 밝혔다. 자신의 꿈을 이루기 위해 매 시험마다 꾸준히 성적을 향상시켜 재학중 훌륭한 결과를 얻은 점은 많은 학생들에게도 귀감이 되고 있다.
