손학규 대통령 예비후보(무소속)는 24일자 “박근혜 전 대통령의 사면을 환영한다” 제목은 논평에서 “박근혜 대통령의 사면을 환영한다. 문재인 대통령, 잘 하신 일이다. 사면의 명분으로 국민 통합과 화합을 든 것은 특히 잘 한 일이다. 내가 엊그제 밝힌 바와 같이 형집행 정지가 아니라 ‘사면’을 한 것은 대통령 선거에 대한 정치적 고려 여부에 관계없이 여하튼 잘 한 일”이라면서 “이번에 이명박 대통령에 대한 사면 조치는 취하지 않았는데, 같은 통합의 명분으로 이명박 전 대통령도 사면해 주기 바란다”고 강조했다.
이어 “마찬가지로 이재용 삼성전자 부회장도 사면해 주어야 한다. 이는 대한민국 정부가 친 기업정책을 실천하고 기업의 자유로운 활동을 지원한다는 것을 국제사회에 보여줄 시범사례가 될 것이다. 4차산업 혁명의 시대에 국제 경쟁력 강화는 국민통합과 함께 대통령이 취해야 할 가장 중요한 역할이기 때문”이라고 지적하고 “우리는 분열과 대립, 갈등을 극복하고 모두 함께 국민통합의 길로 나아가야 한다”고 덧붙였다.
