강도원 본지 칼럼니스트는 23일자 페이스북에 “박근혜의 부활”이라는 제목의 글을 올렸다. 그는 이 글을 통해 “박대통령도 사면까지는 몰라도 복권까지 될 줄은 예상 못한 것 같다. 그래서 대통령에게 사의를 표한 게 아닌가 짐작된다. 병 주고 약준 정권에 사의를 표한 셈이지만 박근혜 전 대통령에겐 절묘한 타이밍에 정치활동까지 가능게 한 사면 복권이 이루어짐으로써 인고 끝에 화려한 부활을 한 셈이니 사의 표현 정도는 할 수 있지 않았나 이해되기도 한다”고 전제하고 “당장 박근혜 전 대통령은 70여일 앞 둔 대선정국의 주도권을 쥐게 됐다. 야권입장에서 보면 이준석-김종인이 좌지우지하던 역할이 크게 축소될 수밖에 없게 됐다. 박근혜 전 대통령 한 마디에 승패가 달렸다고 볼 수 있기 때문이다. 여권 입장에서도 박근혜 전 대통령을 쳐다볼 수밖에 없게 된 처지는 마찬가지라 할 것이다. 박근혜 전 대통령이 어떤 메시지를 내느냐에 대선판이 요동치게 생겼기 때문이다”고 지적했다.
또한 “박근혜의 부활이 대한민국의 부활이 되길 소망하며 박근혜 전 대통령의 빠른 쾌유를 기원한다”고 덧붙였다.
