[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도는 남부내륙철도의 기획재정부 최종검토 단계인 한국개발연구원(KDI) 설계적정성 검토가 연내 마무리될 예정임에 따라 남부내륙철도 개통에 따른 지역발전 전략과 역세권개발 계획 용역을 발주할 계획이라고 28일 밝혔다.
경남도는 28일 오후 경남도청 서부청사에서 윤인국 미래전략국장 주재로 역세권 개발의 본격 추진을 위해 역세권개발 계획 용역 관련 시?군 국장회의를 개최하고 이 같은 내용을 논의했다.
남부내륙철도는 내년 1월 초 기본계획 고시 후 공구분할 및 입찰방법 등을 결정하는 국토교통부 대형공사 입찰방법 심의를 거쳐 기본 및 실시설계에 착수한다. 현재 경남도는 일정에 맞춰 남부내륙철도 연계 역세권개발 계획 용역을 합천, 진주, 고성, 통영, 거제 5개 시?군 공동으로 내년 1월 발주할 예정이다.
기존의 진주역 및 신설되는 통영?거제?고성?합천 역사 주변 개발계획으로 총금액 6억 원으로 발주하여 성과물이 남부내륙철도 설계에 반영되도록 내년 연말 완료를 목표로 한다.
남부내륙철도 개통 시 철도망과 연계한 도시(지역)개발을 체계적.선제적으로 계획하고 도로 등과 역사 연계로 광역교통망 구축 및 문화.관광 컨텐츠 확충 등 지역경제 거점으로서의 역세권 활성화 방안을 제시하며, 시?군별 맞춤형 지역발전 전략도 포함될 계획이다.
