한중교류촉진위원회는 27일 오후, 백희영 작가로부터 서예 작품 ‘신위만사본’을 기증받았다고 밝혔다. 백희영 서예가는 우리의 고유의 서체인 추사체를 기본으로 한, 바탕(전통)위에 현대회화(창조)를 혼합하여 그녀만의 작품세계를 추구하는 작가로, 작가들의 작품화두인 ‘전통과 창조’를 한 작품을 다양하게 표현하며 한국화단에 새로운 화법을 선보이고 있다.
