[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 국민의힘 이달곤 의원은 진해 신항(1단계) 개발사업이 28일 기획재정부 재정사업평가위원회의 예비타당성조사를 통과했다고 밝혔다.
기존 부산항은 컨테이너 물동량 증가로 부산항이 전부 개발되어도 물동양 처리 한계에 직면하고 선박 대형화, 항만자동화 등 국제적인 추세에 따라 갈 수 없어 조기 확충이 절실한 상황이다.
진해신항은 대형선박이 접안할 수 있도록 기존의 항만 부두에 비해 수심과 용량 등이 모두 커진 초대형 터미널로 건설되며 2단계 방식으로 항만건설을 할 계획이다.
