이날 퇴임식은 코로나19 방역상황에 따라 간부 직원들만 참석해 간소하게 진행됐다.
허환구 이사장은 지난 3년 임기동안 친절과 소통·공감을 중시하는 현장 중심의 경영을 펼쳐 지방공기업 경영평가 최우수, 3년 연속 청렴도 우수기관에 선정되는 등 가시적인 성과를 거두었다.
또한 소비자중심경영(CCM), 인권경영시스템, 가족친화경영, 날씨경영인증 등 대외인증과 행안부 주관 혁신우수상, 국가품질경영대회 우수상 등을 수상해 공단의 위상을 드높였다.
