대구대학교(총장 김상호) 유아특수교육과 백상수 교수가 한국유아특수교육학회 신임 회장으로 선출되어 2년 간의 임기로 역할을 맡게 되었다.

백 신임 회장은 미국 일리노이주립대(UIUC)에서 유아특수교육으로 박사학위를 받은 뒤, 현지 대학에서 교수로 근무 후 대구대로 부임했다. 부모교육학회 편집위원장, 열린유아학회 국제이사, 한국유아특수교육학회 학술이사 및 부회장을 역임했다.
백상수 교수는 “장애 영유아의 온전한 공교육을 위해 학회 리더십을 발휘하겠다”고 소감을 전했다.

Professor Baek Sang-soo of the Department of Special Education for Early Children at Daegu University (President Sang-ho Kim) was elected as the new president of the Korean Society for Special Education for Early Children, and he assumed the role for a two-year term.
After receiving a doctorate in special education for early childhood from Illinois State University (UIUC) in the United States, the new president Baek worked as a professor at a local university and then transferred to Daegu University. He has served as editor-in-chief of the Association for Parent Education, International Director of the Open Early Childhood Association, and Academic Director and Vice-President of the Korean Society for Early Childhood Special Education.
Professor Baek Sang-soo said, "I will demonstrate the leadership of the society for the complete public education of children with disabilities."
