포항시는 2022년에 국비 1조 7,132억원을 포함해 예산 3조원 시대를 열었습니다.
역대 최대 규모의 예산과 함께 ‘철강도시 포항’은 블루밸리와 영일만 산업단지 그리고 포항융합기술산업지구 등에 2차전지와 바이오 관련 기업을 유치하며 ‘첨단도시 포항’으로 발돋움할 준비를 마쳤습니다.
울릉군 역시 2025년 울릉공항 개항으로 새 시대를 맞이할 준비를 하고 있습니다. 최근 운항을 시작한 대형 크루즈에 더해 하늘길까지 열린다면, 보다 많은 국민들이 울릉도의 신비한 풍광을 감상하고 독도에도 편리하게 접근할 수 있게 되어 지역 경제 활성화에 전기가 마련될 것으로 기대됩니다.
포항과 울릉의 발전이 경북 도약의 마중물이 되길 바라며, 저 또한 지역의 숙원사업인 연구중심 의과대학 설립과 영일만횡단대교 건설 등을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠습니다.
