오는 6월 실시되는 지방선거에서 경북 칠곡군수에 출마예정인 배시열 전 국회의원(류성걸 의원) 보좌관이 정부 근정포장을 수상했다.

지난 3일 2022년 국회 시무식에서 박병석 국회의장은 신년사에 앞서 2021년 한 해 모범을 보인 국회 직원들에게 대통령 근정훈장과 근정포장, 국회의장 표창 등을 수여했다.
이 가운데 근정포장을 수상한 배시열 전 보좌관은 17대 국회인 지난 2004년 국회인턴부터 시작, 2021년 12월까지 보좌관으로 재직한 것으로 알려진다.
아울려 배 보좌관은 현재 보좌관을 사임하고 칠곡군수 출마를 준비 중이며, 1월 중 공식출마를 선언할 계획이다.
