[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도는 박종원 경남도 경제부지사가 17일 EU의 현대중공업과 대우조선해양의 EU 미승인에 따라 도내 조선산업에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 대책을 강구하기 위해 중형조선사인 케이조선과 경남조선해양기자재협동조합을 방문했다고 밝혔다.

이어 경남조선해양기자재협동조합을 방문하여 대우조선해양의 기업결합심사 미승인에 따른 선박엔진업체, 핵심기자재업체 등 도내 조선업계에 미치는 영향을 논의하고 고용안정, 인력양성, 금융지원과 미래 친환경.스마트 선박 전환 등 도내 조선산업 발전전략을 모색했다.

박종원 경제부지사는 “우리 도는 EU의 대우조선해양 기업결합심사 미승인에 따라 도내 조선업에 미치는 영향을 최소화하고 조선소와 협력사의 상생협력 방안을 모색하는 등 조선산업 활력대책을 차질 없이 추진하고 저.무탄소 친환경선박 등 미래조선업을 적극 육성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
장윤근 케이조선 대표이사는 “경남도의 적극적인 지원으로 케이조선은 지난해 MR탱커 등 25척 9.3억불 수주하여 목표(6.0억불) 대비 55% 초과 달성하여 올해부터 본격적인 제작으로 야드가 활력을 되찾을 수 있게 되었다”며 “중형선박의 스마트화와 기술경쟁력을 확보하여 도내 조선업 생태계 강화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
