[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도교육청은 LG컨소시엄과 25일 진주 무지개초등학교에서 학생용 스마트단말기 전달식과 신속한 보급 및 사후관리(AS) 지원센터 구축 등을 위한 AS 강화 협력식을 열었다.
학생용 스마트단말기 보급은 진주 무지개초등학교를 시작으로 도내 전학교로 진행할 예정이다. 1차 보급 물량은 초등학교 3·6학년, 중?고등학교 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 2월 28일(월)까지 총 13만여 대가 납품된다.
스마트단말기 보급 사업은 미래형 교육체제 기반을 마련하기 위한 경남교육청의 강조사업 중 하나로 미래 디지털 교육환경의 핵심 학습도구로 언제, 어디서든 학습이 가능할 수 있도록 하는 미래교육의 디딤돌 사업이다.
LG컨소시엄은 스마트단말기 관리를 위해 도내 관련 기업 103개를 하나로 묶은 새로운 AS 직할 지원센터 구축과 365일 콜센터 운영으로 학생들이 기기를 불편함 없이 사용할 수 있도록 서비스 협력을 강화하기로 했다.
박종훈 교육감은 “1인 1스마트단말기 보급으로 미래 디지털 교육환경이 경남에서 가장 먼저 정착하게 되며, 언제 어디서든지 학습이 가능한 온-오프라인 미래교육 환경을 조성하는 의미 있는 첫걸음이 될 것이다. 교사와 학생이 스마트단말기를 활용한 학습에 집중할 수 있도록 행.재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 말했다.
LG컨소시엄 대표 기업인 LG헬로비전 송구영 대표는 “학생들이 스마트단말기를 활용하는데 불편함이 없도록 기업의 모든 역량을 동원하여 최선의 서비스가 되도록 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
