울진군은 ‘희망2022 나눔캠페인’이 작년에 이어 또다시 최고모금액을 경신하며 성황리에 종료됐다고 3일 밝혔다.

울진군은 나눔으로 이어지는 따뜻한 울진을 만들기 위해 작년 12월 1일부터 지난 1월 31일까지 총 62일간 ‘희망2022 나눔캠페인’성금모금을 전개했으며, 모금액은 약 7억8천3백만원으로 당초 3억원이었던 목표액을 261% 초과 달성하며 역대 최고액을 기록했다.
이는 지난해보다 약 6천4백만원이 많은 것으로 계속된 코로나19로 인한 경기불황을 생각하면 놀라운 결과이다.
울진군은 사랑의 열매 나눔봉사단(단장 이장출)을 주축으로 5개 읍면에서 가두모금을 펼쳐 군민들이 지역 사랑에 동참할 수 있도록 지원하였으며, 군청과 읍·면사무소에서 소규모 전달식을 진행하여 코로나19로 취소된 읍면 가두모금과 군 성금모금행사를 대체하였다.
윤은경 복지정책과장은 “코로나19로 모두가 힘든 상황에서 작년에 이어 최고모금액을 경신한 것은 우리 군민들의 이웃을 생각하는 따뜻한 마음 덕분이며, 군민들의 소중한 마음으로 모금된 성금이 지역의 어려운 이웃을 위해 잘 쓰여 질 수 있도록 최선을 다 하겠다”고 전했다.
한편, 모금된 성금은 경상북도사회복지공동모금회를 통해 저소득층의 긴급생계비와 의료비 지원, 명절위문 등 군민 생활안정 및 군민 대상 복지사업의 재원으로 사용될 예정이다.
